Why TurfLogic

Better data.
Better golf.

Golf course management has relied on observation for decades. TurfLogic adds objective, continuous intelligence — finding problems before they surface.

Our approach
The Platform

One picture.
Complete clarity.

Every instrument TurfLogic uses feeds a single outcome: an objective, continuously updated picture of your course's health.

Your drone maps
what the eye can't see.
The TSM maps
what the drone can't reach.

The METOS TSM soil scanner reads 1.1 metres into the ground — mapping moisture, conductivity, salinity, and compaction at up to 25,000 data points per hectare. The data your drone can't capture, now visible on every flight.

The Technology

Reads what the
eye can't reach.

The METOS TSM uses non-contact electromagnetic technology to map the soil to 1.1 metres depth — measuring moisture content, electrical conductivity, salinity, and compaction without disturbing the surface. Mounted on your existing maintenance vehicle, it scans continuously as you work. No probes. No disruption. No dedicated passes.

How It Works

Simple to deploy.
Powerful in practice.

01

Mount on your utility vehicle

The TSM attaches to any standard golf course maintenance vehicle — no specialist equipment required. Setup takes minutes with no calibration on your part.

02

Drive your normal routes

Scanning happens continuously as you move. No dedicated passes, no added operations — the data is collected as part of your existing maintenance programme.

03

EM sensors read 1.1m deep

Non-contact electromagnetic technology measures moisture, conductivity, salinity, and compaction through the full root zone — without touching or disturbing the turf surface.

04

Data appears in TurfScore

Scan results are processed automatically and layered into your TurfScore dashboard — correlated with your latest drone stress maps so subsurface cause and surface effect are visible side by side.

Non-Contact Mapping
Analyse the full soil profile without probes or any disturbance to the playing surface or root zone.
High-Resolution Data
up to 25,000 data points per hectare provides granular spatial detail — every irrigation gap, compaction band, and wet spot is visible.
On-the-Go Measurement
Continuous scanning at normal working pace — no stopping, no specialist operators, no disruption to the day.
Automatic Processing
Data is processed and pushed to TurfScore automatically. No exports, no data wrangling — results available the same day.
Applications

The answers your
drone can't give you.

Surface stress maps tell you where. The METOS TSM tells you why. Used together, aerial imagery and subsurface soil data close the loop on persistent agronomic problems — from irrigation failures to compaction patterns that return season after season.

Irrigation precision
Map volumetric moisture across every zone and identify exactly where your irrigation system is over or under-watering — with spatial data to back every adjustment decision.
Compaction diagnosis
Identify where compaction is limiting root development before stress symptoms appear on the surface. Target aeration and deep-tine work with data rather than observation.
Persistent stress root causes
When a stress zone returns flight after flight, the cause is often subsurface. TSM overlays surface stress maps with soil data to find whether moisture deficit, salinity, or conductivity variance is the driver.

Active TurfLogic subscription

The METOS TSM is available to courses with an active TurfLogic engagement — drone flight data is required for full aerial-to-ground correlation in TurfScore.

Mounts on any utility vehicle

No specialist equipment required. The TSM attaches to your existing course maintenance vehicles and is operational within minutes of arrival.

Full support included

Our team handles setup, calibration, and data integration. Your superintendent receives a briefing before the first scan and a full agronomic report with every dataset.
