Why TurfLogic

Better data.
Better golf.

Golf course management has relied on observation for decades. TurfLogic adds objective, continuous intelligence — finding problems before they surface.

Our approach
The Platform

One picture.
Complete clarity.

Every instrument TurfLogic uses feeds a single outcome: an objective, continuously updated picture of your course's health.

Contours

Precision terrain mapping from LIDAR and photogrammetry. Every inch of elevation, every drainage line — permanent, queryable, and layered into TurfScore.

Elevation data that
changes decisions.

Water moves downhill. Disease pressure follows drainage. Compaction concentrates at pinch points. Without precise terrain data, these patterns remain invisible — or worse, are misattributed to the wrong cause. TurfLogic's contour layer gives every drainage line, every low point, every flow path a precise coordinate and elevation.

The layer is generated once per course — or resurveyed after significant grading work — and then remains as a permanent reference layer in TurfScore, visible alongside every stress map and irrigation overlay.

LIDAR Capture
Centimeter accuracy
LiDAR scanning produces a point cloud with centimeter-level vertical accuracy — resolving subtle grade changes that affect drainage and playability.
Photogrammetry
High-density mesh
Where LiDAR captures elevation, photogrammetric reconstruction provides the visual surface — combined into a single georeferenced model.
Permanent Layer
Always in context
The contour layer is always available in TurfScore alongside stress maps and irrigation data — so terrain context is never missing from the analysis.
Applications

What precision
terrain enables.

Drainage Analysis
Find where water goes
Correlate stress map patterns with drainage flow paths — confirm whether moisture stress is related to terrain or irrigation coverage.
Aeration Planning
Target compaction zones
Overlay contour lines with high-traffic stress zones to identify where grade creates concentrated foot traffic pressure.
Construction Reference
Pre- and post-grading
Resurvey after renovation work for a precise before/after terrain comparison — with elevation differences quantified, not estimated.
